With the release of Patch 10.1, the Ominous Chromatic Essence trinket was introduced, which is similar to the Whispering Incarnate’s Icon trinket from Vault of the Incarnates.
This trinket drops from The Forgotten Experiments boss in Aberrus the Shadowed Crucible raid.
It is a passive effect trinket that increases your secondary stat of choice and resonates to your party / raid members a small amount of your chosen stat if they have the trinket equipped and are attuned with a different Oathstone (different Resonance buff). To get the most out of this trinket as a group, you will want to try to have at least one of each Resonance buff.
Dragonflight Oathstones Buffs
To select your buff, you must stand close to the Oathstone of your choice and use the trinket. Once the channel has finished, you will be attuned with that Oathstone and receive the respective Resonance buff.
Each Resonance gives you a fair amount of a specific secondary stat, except the Black Dragonflight Resonance, which gives all secondary stats instead of only one, but a smaller amount of each. The amount of stats the buff gives you is based on the item level of the trinket.

Dragonflight Oathstone Locations
Green Dragonflight Oathstone (Emerald)
The Green Dragonflight Oathstone is located on the West coast of the Dragon Isles, in the far left of the Ohn’ahran Plains, on the secluded island called Ancient Bough.
After attuning your trinket to the Green Dragonflight Oathstone, it will give you Critical Strike (Emerald Resonance buff).
The coordinates for the Green Oathstone are 22.26, 51.17.
Blue Dragonflight Oathstone (Azure)
The Blue Dragonflight Oathstone is located below the huge floating rings in the middle of the Azure Archives, at the very south of the Azure Span.
After attuning your trinket to the Blue Dragonflight Oathstone, it will give you Mastery (Azure Resonance buff).
The coordinates for the Blue Dragonflight Oathstone are 39.45, 63.14.
Bronze Dragonflight Oathstone
The Bronze Dragonflight Oathstone is in front of the entrance of the Temporal Conflux, the huge Bronze Dragonflight fortress in the southeast of Thaldraszus.
After attuning your trinket to the Bronze Dragonflight Oathstone, it will give you Haste (Bronze Resonance buff).

Red Dragonflight Oathstone (Ruby)
The Red Dragonflight Oathstone is at the top of the Ruby Life Pools in The Waking Shores, the giant breeding ground created by Alexstrasza to help newborn dragons to be infused with Titan power.
After attuning your trinket to the Red Dragonflight Oathstone, it will give you Versatility (Ruby Resonance buff).

Black Dragonflight Oathstone (Obsidian)
The Black Dragonflight Oathstone is located next to the Obsidian Throne, in The Waking Shores zone, in the left wing of the Obsidian Citadel’s lower section.
After attuning your trinket to the Black Dragonflight Oathstone, it will give you Critical Strike, Mastery, Haste and Versatility (Obsidian Resonance buff); it gives you some of every secondary stat, but less of each than if you attune to a single secondary stat.
