Trinkets
Overall, this season has a lot of very powerful trinkets.
Raiding in retail continue to give a lot of premium trinkets. Cataclysmic Signet Brand, Bandolier of the Twisted Blades, and Coiled Serpent Idol are all amazing trinket. Cataclysmic Signet Brand is only going to excel when fight timers are going beyond 5 minutes so for M+ and Heroic raid content this trinket is worse than the other 2.
M+ also offers some good trinkets, Accelerating Sandglass is a decent option to use and Galakrond is already a premium dungeon to farm for the Nick of Time. My’das Talisman is the best trinket we can get from dungeons, bar none.
Weapons
In season there are 2 main special weapons you want to be chasing. One of the Nick of Time from the first half of Dawn of the Infinite, and the other one is the Thorncaller Claw from The Council of Dreams raid encounter. Both of these weapons are best in slot for both Single Target and AoE so the sooner you get them the sooner you can ignore your weapon slots in terms of upgrade potential.
Embellishments and Sparks
When it comes to using your sparks properly, the two highest priority things to grab are the Toxic Thorn Footwraps, and then a generic crafted item to put Toxified Armor Patch on. Good slots to put this on are Helmet, Cloak or Belt.
After that, you can just sim your character in droptimizer and craft the items in need of an upgrade the most. Items such as engineering bracers or a necklace are usually good crafts to grab after.
