Interface
Your UI is very personal, what I mean by that is just that you need to find what works for you, and that may not work for other players. If there is anything you feel like you lack or would like changed about your UI there are many resources out there to help you out.
Macros
Blizzard @cursor macro
This macro removes the green circle you would typically have and lets you cast Blizzard at your cursor, essentially saving you time.
#showtooltip
/cast [@cursor] blizzard
Focus Poly / Counterspell / Spellsteal macro
Useful to be able to use these spells without having to un-target the kill target to do the certain action, example being Shades on huntsman.
Polymorph Macro
#showtooltip
/cast [target=focus] Polymorph
Spellsteal Macro
#showtooltip
/cast [target=focus] Spellsteal
Counterspell Macro
#showtooltip
/cast [target=focus] Counterspell
Mouseover Remove Curse
Great way to effectively decurse a friendly target without having to target them.
#showtooltip
/cast [@mouseover] Remove Curse
Cancel Alter Time
When you do NOT want to go back to your pre Alter Time place/Health, you need this macro to do so
#showtooltip Alter Time
/cancelaura Alter Time
I personally use a non removable Ice Block and another button to cancel aura Ice Block, I prefer this so that I can safely spam my Ice Block button without being scared of canceling it accidentally. But if you feel like you do not need them, you dont have to.
Ice Block that cant be removed by the same button
#showtooltip
/cast !Ice Block
Ice Block Cancel Aura Macro
#showtooltip Ice Block
/cancelaura Ice Block
Focus mouseover
A macro to set your current mouseover to focus
/focus mouseover
Weakauras
Multiple Weakauras can be helpful for a Frost Mage and they can be found on https://wago.io/shadowlands-weakauras/classes/mage/frost
I would highly recommend Using Afenar’s Package since he offers pretty much everything you need to start playing a frost mage.
You can find the Package Here:
