Hey, I'm Symex, and welcome to my Survival Hunter guide. I have been playing Survival Hunter since its rework in BFA and have been pushing keys and raiding with survival ever since. You will also see me complaining about survival in the Trueshotlodge (Hunter Discord).
What has changed
Patch 10.2.5 Changes
- All damage dealt by Hunter and Hunter’s pet’s abilities is increased by 4%.
Although a nice buff, this change will not affect Survival Hunter's current viability in M+ or Raid.
Patch 10.2 Changes
- Wildfire Bombs now deal 40% increased damage to your primary target.
- The empowerment buff from Coordinated Assault now lasts for 5 seconds (was 3 seconds).
Although the coordinated assault changes will not change much, Wildfire Bomb dealing increased damage to your primary target has been a change requested from many survival players for a very long time. This change will significantly increase Survivals Single Target Damage and make sure we will not be ignoring wildfire bombs like we did at the start of Shadowlands.
Hunters Mark: In Patch 10.2, Hunters got a new raid buff in the form of Hunter's Mark; increasing your allies damage by 5% on enemies above 80% Health. This will even out to about 1% overall DPS. This is enough to give Hunters a raid spot in most situations.
