Another big piece of the Method staff puzzle has fallen into place, with Jason "Opie" Babo joining and ready to lead the team as General Manager.
OpieOP is a Twitch emote that you may not only know but on occasion also spam in various chats. Like many other global emotes it depicts one of the early employees of Twitch, in this case Jason "Opie" Babo. Jason has helped build the foundation of video game streaming with his work at own3D and Twitch over the past 7 years. Before his time in the live stream business, Opie worked at companies such as Blizzard, Machinima and Ensidia, the former World 1st guild that was established with the merger between Nihilum and SK Gaming.
Opie's main strength is his unique ability to connect with people on a personal level. He works relentlessly and uses his excellent understanding of communication to ensure that everyone he works with has the best experience possible. He quickly becomes a trusted friend, confidant, and advisor. We believe that these skills in particular are what Method needs for its General Manager position.
Very much looking forward to work with Opie, his track record and reputation speak for themselves. Personally, I appreciate his history with World of Warcraft a lot. It's an important shared connection with the rest of our management, with many of our teams and of course most of Method's following. - Method co-owner Sascha "Rak" Steffens
I have been a fan of Method since the early days and it's been incredible to watch their continued success over the years. I'm honored to now be a part of Method as General Manager, bringing in my experience to help develop incredible plans for the future. There are some exciting times ahead here at Method, and I can't wait to see what the future holds for everyone involved, especially the fans and supporters. - Jason "Opie" Babo
