Stat Priorities
Stat Ranking
So, generally, it is always best to sim yourself to figure out what stats will be best for you; however as a basic guideline to follow, I’d recommend:
- Critical Strike
- Haste
- Versatility
- Mastery
All Secondary stats have great value in 10.2. Crit is slightly stronger than the other stats. Most likely you’ll end up with a little bit more crit and otherwise fairly even secondary stats. Once again: make sure to sim your character to figure out your strongest items!
Additionally, with how stats and gearing have developed over time, usually, Item level nets the most DPS increase, especially on pieces of main stat gear.
Stat Outline
Our Mastery Giantkiller gives us more damage on high health targets according to the % you can see in your character Panel. It gives full value during Dragonrage or against Targets with 100% hp. It linearly scales down to 30% of its value against targets at 30% and remains at a constant 30% until the target dies.
Due to the talent, Spellweaver’s Dominance, our crits do 230% increased damage instead of 200%, so it’s pretty important for us to crit to make the most out of this increased damage modifier.
Haste increases the rate at which your spells are cast and channeled. This is a great stat for us to have as it helps extend our Dragonrage. During Bloodlust or if a friendly priest gives us PI during Dragonrage (bribe them if needed) we can get 3 full extensions. While haste feels very nice to have, it’s not worth investing heavily into it at the cost of losing out on other stats.
Versatility is just a weaker version of our mastery. It does reduce our damage taken which is always appreciated as we have very little in the form of defensives, but generally, you don’t want to ever really be aiming for this stat unless you are really struggling to survive.
The best way to calculate stat priorities for your character is to "sim" your character. Method Raider Jaerv has written a series of Metafy articles to help!
How to Sim in World of WarcraftRaces
There is currently only 1 race available to evoker, and that is a Dracthyr.
Enchants
Cloak - Graceful Avoidance
Chest - Waking Stats
Wrist - Devotion of Avoidance
Waist - Shadowed Belt Clasp
Weapon - Sophic Devotion or Wafting Devotion
Legs - Frozen Spellthread
Rings - Devotion of Critical Strike (As a baseline but it’s always good practice to sim yourself and see which stat would be the best for you)
Gems
Again I advise simming to see what will be the best upgrades for yourself, but I will always recommend mastery gems as a baseline.
Consumables
Food: Grand Banquet of the Kalu’ak > Sizzling Seafood Medley = Thousandbone Tongueslicer
Flask: Phial of Tepid Versatility / Iced Phial of Corrupting Rage
Your flask of choice will be Phial of Tepid Versatility. If you really trust your healers, then Iced Phial of Corrupting Rage will offer more DPS at the cost of taking additional damage. If you’re using this phial, I recommend picking alchemy as a profession and spec into Decayology.
Potion: Elemental Potion of Ultimate Power
Augment Runes: Draconic Augment Rune
Health Potion: Dreamwalker's Healing Potion
Weapon Rune - Buzzing Rune
